Toys Over Time/How Toys Move Incursion
This term, all students attended an incursion run by Supreme Incursions. The incursion was tailored to suit our Inquiry Learning focuses of the History of Toys and How Toys Move. The session started with a visit to their Toy Museum where we saw lots of very old toys and had a discussion about what they were made of and how they have changed over time. The session was then organised into four toy categories; ‘Up and About Island’, ‘Skill Island’, ‘Imagination Island’ and ‘Construction Island’. The students had the opportunity to play with a huge range of toys in each section, learning interesting facts about them, how they work, the materials they are made from and how they have changed over time.
