Fiona Pisani has announced her retirement from the Department of Education. After many years in the education she deserves this time to ‘smell the roses’, travel, take long walks on the beach and pursue her other hobbies.

This time of the year our focus very much shifts to planning for 2018. Our enrolments continue to increase with four Prep classes enrolled and only 35 Year 6 students exiting.

This week marks the end of my 43 years of employment with the Victorian Education Department – 23 years as a principal. After a wonderful seven years at Oakleigh Primary School and Kindergarten I feel so privileged to have been able to finish this rewarding career at such a fabulous school.

What a delight it was to welcome over 300 community members to our Father’s Day breakfast last Friday morning. This is a significant event as I realise that with work and other commitments many parents and specifically fathers, do not have the opportunity to be involved in the life of the school during the normal school day.
